Candidates must be undergraduate theatre majors in high academic standing who demonstrate financial need and have a conviction to pursue a career in theatre.

Provide financial support to Kean University students who reside in New Jersey, work while enrolled at Kean University, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and earning their degree in teaching at the College of Education. The income from this endowment will be used to assist students who demonstrate need through the Pay It Forward Fund. The Pay it Forward Fund serves those students who are currently enrolled in a matriculating program at Kean University, but lack the financial resources to continue their education.  Additional Criteria; for now award based on original criteria above.

The Pay it Forward Fund would work collaboratively " to close attainment gaps for traditionally underrepresented populations." In return, students who benefit from the Pay it Forward would be asked to simply to just that - pay it forward. upon graduation, Pay it Forward scholarship recipients must agree to join the Alumni Leadership Initiative, which works with the Office of Alumni Relations to identify professional development options and resources to support the University's educational and philanthropic endeavors.

Awarded to one student per year; applicants must be matriculated as part-time undergraduates with a minimum 3.0 GPA, who have completed a minimum of 30 credits and demonstrate financial need.

Award granted to an outstanding undergraduate student pursuing studies in piano performance. Student must have completed one full semester at Kean with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Scholarship application must show student’s motivation for pursuing studies in piano.

Scholarship will be awarded to freshmen entering Kean University who are deemed to be among the best and the brightest high school seniors in the areas of academics, community services, or athletics, each scholarship will cover 100% of in-state tuition costs (not including mandatory fees) and can be renewed for three(3) additional years at Kean if the student maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. Estabrook scholars will not be eligible for any other scholarship funds

Awarded to full-time freshmen in the College of Business and Public Administration with a minimum 3.4 GPA and SAT score of 1000.

This scholarship is awarded to sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are majoring in areas of business administration. Students must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and proven financial need.

Awarded to full-time undergraduate students with a minimum 3.0 GPA who have been accepted to study abroad through the Kean University Study Abroad Program. Preference will be given to students with financial need.

Awarded to a junior or senior speech-language pathology student with a minumum 3.5 GPA and financial need.

Granted to students who have made a significant contribution to social change through community service. Strong preference is given to “Be the Change” student club members. Financial need is also preferred and a supplementary essay of not more than 250 words highlighting the student’s community service and social change involvement is required.

Consideration for the scholarship will be given to all scholarship applicants. Preference will be given to a student(s) involved with the Kean student organization " Be the Change" and/or a person with financial need who has demonstrated the ability to overcome social and financial obstacles and will truly benefit from a scholarship. In the event the all candidates have similar profiles, the candidate with the greatest involvement with " Be the change" student organization or direct involvement with social and financial obstacles in their personal life or assisting others with be selected.

Awarded to a music major who has exhibited academic excellence and exceptional performance ability on a musical instrument.

Candidates will be enrolled in the gerontology collateral program, who intends to pursue a career in aging services. Applicant must have completed a minimum of 12 credits and have a minimum 3.5 GPA.

Granted to sophomore, junior, or senior public administration majors with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Preference given to students with Kean extracurricular involvement, particularly in student government.

This scholarship is bequeathed by alumna Frances J. Greany M ’73 ’81.  Candidates must be elementary education majors.

Awarded to a full-time sophomore, junior or senior with a minimum 3.5 GPA, who is majoring in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. Financial need preferred. Scholarship can be renewed annually, contingent upon GPA and enrollment status. 

Candidate must be a self-supporting occupational therapy student preparing for clinical fieldwork, who demonstrates financial need and has a minimum 3.2 GPA.

Candidates must be enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program who have completed 60 credits, a minimum of a 3.2 GPA, and proven financial need.  Qualified students should have work experience in a child-care center.

Consideration for this award will be given to full-time undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need and/or come from a disadvantaged background. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be enrolled in Kean University’s Semester Abroad Program not at Wenzhou, China. The award may be used for tuition and travel expenses for students pursuing any degree. That the Board of Trustees directs the administration to develop the procedures needed to ensure that a maximum of 200 Kean University students annually, who wish to study abroad for a semester or an academic year and are eligible to do so, can apply for and receive up to $2,000 in travel ($1,500) and cultural ($500) funds per semester to support their efforts;

Candidates are graduate students in the occupational therapy program entering their final or Fieldwork II semester. The successful candidate will demonstrate client centered values and demonstrate specialization in mental health or the psycho-social aspect of the profession.
 

$1,000 each academic year. application must be reviewed by OT Department since they would have personal knowledge of the candidates. All graduate scholarship applicants occupational therapy (OT) Program, maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 of a possible 4.0, and have demonstrated exemplary character, client-centred values, and dedication to a specialization in the mental or Psycho-Social aspect of the OT program and profession. This scholarship will be awarded during either the final semester or fieldwork II semester to a student whose character and approach to the profession of occupational therapy most closely resembles that demonstrated by Kathy Hering-Brady during her practice. These faculty members may nominate up to three candidates for the award. Final selection will be made consultation with designated Family members (to be designated by Donald Brady). In the event that no candidates are recommended, the scholarship will not be awarded that year.

Eligible candidates will be graduate students majoring in speech language pathology.

Candidates are undergraduate students majoring in instrumental music with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Preference will be given to students concentrating on piano or violin.  Candidates will also need to be New Jersey residents specifically from of Union or Essex County. 

Available for music major or minor, who plays an instrument that would typically be part of a symphony orchestra or classical ensemble. I would ask that priority be given to individuals with an interest in either the violin or piano. Additionally, I request that priority be given to students from Union or Essex Counties of New Jersey. Finally, I ask that financial need also be considered when making the final determination.

Candidates will be undergraduate students majoring in broadcast journalism and have high academic standing and demonstrate financial need.  Students should demonstrate a conviction to pursue a career in broadcast journalism.

Awarded candidates must be New Jersey residents in good academic standing and demonstrated financial need.  Candidates must be majoring in Business, Law, Public Administration, or a major in Kean's NJSTM.  GPA 3.0 or higher specific to diverse candidates based on race/ethnicity.

Candidates will be sophomore, junior or senior students pursuing degrees in the helping professions, such as counseling, nursing, education or social work, have a minimum 3.0 GPA and proven financial need.

Candidates will be incoming freshmen majoring in visual communications with an option in graphic design. Students must have minimum 3.0 GPA.  Qualified candidates may be required to submit a portfolio with 5 or 6 examples of creative work displaying the student’s ability to think visually.

Candidates will be full-time stduents who will be a junior or senior in the upcoming year.  Canddidate will have earned 39-credit in the English major which includes both surveys of British & American literature & senior seminar with a minimum 3.25 GPA.

Provides financial support to the full-time upcoming junior or senior who is in the 39-credit English major which includes both surveys of British & American literature & senior seminar with a minimum 3.5 GPA out of a possible 4.0.

Candidates will be a full-time junior or senior who  has earned 39 credits in the English major which includes both surveys of British and American literature and senior seminar with a minimum 3.25 GPA.

Candidates are students with high academic achievement in interior design.

Awarded to undergraduate students majoring in History.

Candidates are juniors or seniors with a 3.0 GPA and enrolled at the Kean Skylands campus.
